Young Amazing Tweets: Dissecting Robby Anderson’s greatest social media musings

Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson is a man of many talents. He has elite speed that can take the top off the defense and athleticism that allows him to go up and win his fair share of jump balls down the field.

He also has a knack for entertaining his Twitter followers.

Since joining the Jets, Anderson has repeatedly made noise on Twitter thanks to his random musings. Whether it be his thoughts throughout the day or provoking questions, Anderson often sets the Jets Twittersphere on fire.

With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the best Tweets @youngamazing9 has had to offer.

Robby the defensive back?

In three NFL seasons, Anderson has done well as a wide receiver. However, his true calling might be at defensive back — especially when the Jets face the Oakland Raiders and wide receiver Antonio Brown.

By the looks of the Tweet above, Anderson is not Brown’s biggest fan. Brown has victimized veteran NFL defensive backs throughout his career, but if Anderson can turn into a Jets Twitter sensation overnight, he can probably make the switch to safety in a week’s time. The Jets do play the Raiders in 2019, so Anderson might beg Adam Gase for the opportunity to back this Tweet up.

Gum and the digestive system

One day after defeating the Detroit Lions in dominant fashion to open the 2018 season, Anderson’s mind was not on the touchdown he scored the night before. Instead, he was pondering an age-old question that everyone has asked at least once in their life.

Does gum really stick to your stomach if you swallow it?

These are the kinds of questions people need answers to. As a man of the people, Anderson took it upon himself to question the masses on the topic.

If the whole football thing doesn’t work out, maybe Anderson has a future as a gastroenterologist.

Daylight saving time

From November to March, the sun goes in early and the darkness follows. Like many of us, Robby Anderson is not a fan of this.

Life is better when the sun stays out later. The later the sun stays out, the nicer the weather is and the more fun there is to be had. Anderson just wants to have fun in the sun and enjoy the daylight like the rest of us.

Anderson is so adamant about this that he went out of his way to retweet his own Tweet so more people could see it.

Weatherman Robby

Ever wonder why it’s still cold in March? Robby Anderson does too.

Once February ends, everyone expects March to come along and bring the warm weather with it. Unfortunately, that is rarely the case. Anderson is not a fan of this reality and had a feeling the majority of his followers weren’t either, so he took to Twitter to share with them.

Now that it’s May, Anderson is hopefully enjoying the warmer weather before the Jets’ offseason activities really ramp up.

Smelly Lyfts

Sometimes, drivers for ride-sharing services are not the most pleasant people — especially early in the morning or late at night. One morning in March, Anderson made a jaw-dropping discovery that correlates moody Lyft drivers to the scent of their vehicles.

Anderson believes that those who have smelly cars are the ones who catch an attitude with their passengers. It’s safe to assume someone did not get a great rating from Anderson.

Shotgun or backseat?

As a kid, making the move from the back seat to the front passenger seat is a right of passage. The day you move up to the front, you have officially made it.

That used to be the case for Anderson, but the tide has turned. Now, Anderson prefers riding in the back. Frankly, it’s hard to blame him. In the back, you can stretch your legs across the seat and comfortably take a nap. The front doesn’t allow that kind of freedom.

With comfort being the key and his mom no longer driving him around, Anderson is now a back seat guy.

Wake up call

Anderson has an extremely valid point here. Why do hotels require their guests to check out so early?

Given the time of his April 25 tweet, Anderson was the victim of an early-morning check out time. With an early morning check out comes a short night of sleep and that does not fly with him.

Once again, Anderson has found a way to relate to the people with this tweet. He might be the guy who catches touchdown passes on Sundays, but his everyman Twitter persona is what keeps Jets fans following along.
