YouGov poll predicts result in all Scottish seats – see the full map

THE SNP would win big in Scotland, with Reform UK falling short of a majority in Westminster, a recent poll has shown.

The survey by YouGov, the second MRP since the 2024 general election, has found that if an election were held tomorrow, the SNP would win 37 seats, up from 28 from last year's result of nine.

Polling also showed that Labour’s 37 MPs in Scotland would be wiped out to just eight, with the party losing 267 seats across the UK, leaving Keir Starmer’s party with just 144 MPs.

The Conservatives would also be set for further humiliation as they would lose a further 76 seats, returning only 45 MPs, with only one from Scotland.

Elsewhere, the LibDems would return five MPs from Scotland, and would pick up six more seats from 2024, bringing them to 78 in total.

Reform UK are set to be the biggest winner with Nigel Farage’s party securing 311 seats, up 306 from the five that they currently have.

The party would be 15 seats shy of the 326 needed for a majority in Westminster.  The survey shows Reform would secure its first MP in Scotland with five projected seats.

This includes Dumfries and Galloway, Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale, Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk, Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock, as well as Central Ayrshire.

Zack Polanski’s Greens would be set to pick up three more MPs, bringing them to a total of seven, with Plaid Cymru also gaining two more seats, bringing them to six total MPs.

The remaining three seats would go to “other” parties.

The estimated seat projections are based on modelled responses from 13,000 voters in Great Britain.
