‘You will not be disappointed’: Woman says you should always write that you’re hungover when you order DoorDash. It works

A woman is sharing a hack for your next DoorDash order: tell them you’re hungover.

Bridge (@little.bridge) says a friend told her about this trick. She’s been doing it ever since and even calls it a “godsend.”

“In the special instructions when you are ordering online, put that you are hungover,” Bridge says in a TikTok. “I don’t care whether you are or not. Just put in the special instructions ‘super hungover, need to be saved’ or like a little heart, or something. And I promise you, you will not be disappointed.”

Bridge then trains the camera on a takeout order on the table in front of her.

She says she ordered it from cannabis-themed franchise Cheba Hut. According to Bridge, all she ordered was a medium sandwich. She got much more than that, however.

“They gave me a larger sandwich. They also gave me SunChips for free, a Rice Krispies Treat for free, and they also gave me a coupon for a free nug for the next time I’m hungover,” she says.

Bridge shows the coupon. On the back it says, “4 the next hangover” with a smiley face.

She says this is par for the course when you make an online order and tell them you imbibed too much alcohol the night before.

“It works every time,” she concludes.

Order food like a pro

Bridge’s advice is just one of many tricks that you can use to improve a dining or takeout experience and possibly even get things for free.

These range from dishonest, such as claiming that a drink a bartender made properly is messed up in the hopes of getting a free drink, to pro tips like the one Bridge’s friend came up with.

Comments on her TikTok, which has 442,000 views as of this writing, include many suggestions for getting more out of that DoorDash order.

“Level up: put that you’re pregnant,” wrote one. Multiple people advised writing that you’re pregnant as a trick for getting free food.

Another said, “One time I put I was having a horrible day (I really was) and they put in a free dessert. It made me cry lmao.”

Man’s best friend can reportedly also be used to get a little extra.

“I always put, ‘Can I please have an extra whatever for my dog?'” a commenter said. “They do not hold back. And I really do share with my dog.”

Many people worried that spreading the advice too far would render it useless, as restaurants and delivery drivers for DoorDash and other services would catch on.

“Ok! I got the pro tip, good to delete now queen ty,” one wrote.

Bridge didn’t immediately respond to an inquiry sent via TikTok direct message.
