Seating is to be provided along the route of Weston-super-Mare Carnival for the first time in recent history.
Organisers of the annual parade in the seaside town are to provide grandstand, tiered seating for the 2019 procession.
Although the grandstand will not be accessible for wheelchairs, there will be a disabled area next to the seating stand.
Carnival organisers launched a consultation earlier this year to get views on introducing seating for people to watch the parade.
The neighbouring town of Bridgwater has been providing seating for crowds at its carnival - the biggest illuminated parade in Europe - for years.
More than 50 seats will be available and bookings are being taken now.
Allocations will be on a first come, first served basis.
A carnival spokesperson said: “After such a positive response to our recent Grandstand seating question we are delighted that we have a Grandstand and the booking system is now live.”
This year’s carnival is on November 8.
People are being urged to dig deep this year and give to the collectors along the route. Last year’s collection raised £14,464.
Programmes at a cost of £1 for the 2019 carnival are now on sale and available from Visit Weston at The Tropicana and McColls newsagents.
