Former Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has spoken out following his confirmed departure from Elland Road.
The Swedish defender last night signed for fellow Championship side Brentford on a three-year deal after clocking up a total of 120 appearances for the whites since joining the club in 2016.
The move has got fans talking on social media, and now Pontus himself has posted a message to supporters of both clubs.
"After some busy days I can finally say that I'm a Brentford player", a statement read on his Twitter account.
"I really believe in this squad and can't wait to get going".
He then goes on to talk about his three years at Leeds United and the impact the club has had on his career.
"You took me into your hearts and have fantastic since day one.
"I loved to play for the club, Leeds will always be part of me and my family".
