You too can be a part of the Toledo Truth Teller at a NYC pop up for ‘The Paper’

Fan of the mockumentary genre? Want to celebrate the new series, The Paper, by heading to the Toledo Truth Teller yourself? Now is your chance if you’re living in New York City! A new pop-up is heading to Rockefeller Plaza for one day.

This September 9, fans of the show can head to Rockefeller Center and Flatiron Plaza to celebrate the show with a special pop-up newsstand inspired by the paper from the show! Ned (Domhnall Gleeson) and his team work at the Toledo Truth Teller, “the fictional Midwestern paper at the heart of the series.” Fans can experience bagels, news, and many stars of the series!

Oscar Nuñez, who plays Oscar Martinez in the show and was also in The Office, will be making a special appearance! Fans have two options for the pop-ups in the city. There is one at Rockefeller Center at 50 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10112  and the other is in Flatiron Plaza, 23rd &, Broadway, New York, NY 10010.

Look, even if you’re not into the photo-op kind of mood, you still get a bit of breakfast while supplies last. So you can get your morning coffee, a new paper, and a bagel and celebrate the new show! The series is described as follows: “The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series The Office find a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.”

Part of the joy of The Paper is that it isn’t a spin-off of The Office but rather a continuation of the documentary crew’s subjects. So sure, you sort of get to remember what it was like returning to Dunder Mifflin each week but now we get a whole new team to love and New Yorkers can celebrate that with The Paper pop-ups!
