'You really miss us!' - Arsenal fans react to reports of pre-season friendly vs Bayern Munich

Arsenal are set to face Bayern Munich in a pre-season friendly on July 17 and that's sparked a massive reaction from both sets of supporters.

As reported by the LA Times , the game will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson and will mark the Gunners' first visit to Southern California since beating Chivas of Guadalajara three years ago.

In addition, the fixture is part of the International Champions Cup which is a summer tournament that was launched in 2013 and is played across several continents including Europe, Asia and North America.

It was confirmed on Friday that the Gunners and Bayern will be joined by AC Milan, Benfica, Manchester United, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, AS Roma, Chivas and Real Madrid in this summer's edition.

Facing the Bundesliga giants will evoke some bad memories for Arsenal supporters.

The last three competitive meetings against Bayern have all ended in a 5-1 defeat and that resulted in an humiliating 10-2 aggregate defeat at the Champions League round of 16 stage a couple of seasons ago.

Unsurprisingly, some Bayern fans are predicting another 5-1 win in the summer.

However, the north London outfit did come out on top in a pre-season friendly a few months later as Alex Iwobi's late header sent the game into penalties where they won 3-2.

So are Arsenal fans more confident about the upcoming meeting?
