'You’re in trouble' - Thierry Henry explains what makes Liverpool frightening for Premier League rivals

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has identified the trait that he believes makes Liverpool 'frightening' in their charge for the Premier League title, after they demolished Everton at Anfield.

The Reds struck four times in the first half and, despite Everton getting on the scoresheet twice, were in control throughout as they stormed to a 5-2 win to heap further pressure upon their suffering rivals.

As a result, Liverpool retained their eight-point lead over Leicester City at the top of the Premier League and still sit 11 ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

While Jurgen Klopp faces a number of stern challenges on the horizon with a packed schedule of fixtures in December, the signs look good for his side - and Henry believes the rest of the league should be wary.

“You can see how mature Divock Origi is now. He mentioned team, group and youngsters, every time we tried to ask him questions about making history, he mentions again team, group and youngsters," he told Amazon Prime Video.

“Every single time, that’s where their mindsets are at the moment and that’s frightening because when a team thinks like that, you’re in trouble.”

Liverpool return to Premier League action this weekend with a trip to the South Coast to face Bournemouth, before their crunch Champions League group-stage match against Red Bull Salzburg.
