'You're being a little harsh' - Bristol City fan stirs up radio hosts with controversial view

A Bristol City fan has surprised talkSPORT presenters by ringing up to complain about his side.

The Robins overcame Derby County last night to keep pace with the play-off places and move just three points off the automatic promotion places.

City went 3-0 up before letting the Rams back into it and holding on for a big win.

Yet City fan Mark left talkSPORT's Jason Cundy surprised when he rang up to complain about his side's performance.

"I honestly cannot believe we're anywhere near the play-offs," he said.

"We're playing so bad, so terribly.

"I went to the Birmingham game on Friday and we were absolutely appalling.

"We were pretty bad tonight, to be honest with you."

The assessment caused former Chelsea player Cundy to interject, arguing he was harsh on the Robins.

He said: "I don't know, once you took the third goal, after that Derby were by far the better team.

"But I think you're being a little harsh there, Mark."

Yet Mark continued, but also surprisingly backed City to beat Leeds on Saturday.

He said: "We were so naive, we played so badly and Rooney started dictating the play and pinging it about.

"We couldn't get the ball and we lost every second ball.

"As I say, I can't believe we're where we are playing as badly as we are.

"I'm going to Leeds on Saturday and I wouldn't put it past us to beat them, to be honest with you."

He added: "I went to the home game against Leeds and they were different gravy.

"They absolutely whacked us and I turned to my son and said they'll run away with it.

"Where we are now, three points behind them, I just can't believe it."

It caused a stir on social media, with some Robins fans voicing their objections.

Ashley Fry: Grow up, this bloke ain't got a clue.

Dave Evans: Mark is a berk.
