You’re all being weird about Pedro Pascal again! Stop it!

Pedro Pascal is in the news because of his work in the new Marvel movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps. And by being in the news, he is being talked about more and more and that is proving to be an “annoying” thing.

Since the press tour of Fantastic Four kicked off, the sentiment has been that Pedro Pascal shouldn’t touch his co-stars? The “issue” comes up whenever videos of Pascal and Vanessa Kirby pops up. We have learned that Pascal gets anxious and Kirby touches him to comfort him. It’s sweet, they both consent to it, we can all appreciate it and move on.

Instead, what we have had to deal with is people who don’t like seeing Pedro Pascal and finding any excuse known to man to mock and belittle him. Why? He’s just starring in things. It all started when he went from playing Din Djarin in The Mandalorian to Joel Miller in The Last of Us. People started to remark that he’s “everywhere” and hate on him.

Now, with his role as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the latest attack on Pascal is centered around how he and Kirby interact with each other. What the response to Pascal actually is is a bunch of insecure people who do not know how to handle a man being comfortable with women and beloved.

The reality of the situation is that men online do not understand that women do appreciate a touchy man when he’s being vulnerable/isn’t doing it for some other reason. In their world, they think everything has to be sexual and that’s not the case here and they don’t know how to understand that.

So being weird about Pascal online all because women feel comfortable with him makes no sense to me! Leave him alone already.
