'You obviously do' - Jack Grealish responds to Jurgen Klopp claim about Man City and Liverpool

Jack Grealish has responded to comments from Jurgen Klopp where he said he didn’t know when Manchester City were next playing.

The Reds boss made the claim before Liverpool claimed a 1-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League.

Sadio Mane’s goal saw Liverpool move back to three points behind leaders City, who take on rivals Manchester United this afternoon.

Before Liverpool faced West Ham, Klopp spoke to Sky Sports about the match - but was asked about chasing down the Citizens.

When the question was put to him about following City’s results and winning before they play, Klopp claimed he did not know when Pep Guardiola’s outfit were playing.

“No. It's the truth, I wouldn't even know when City is playing to be honest, we didn't think about it for a second,” said Klopp.

"We were completely here in preparation for this game. We have to win these days, especially this game we will see. If we do that and win football matches then we can put pressure on, without winning football games, no.

"I told your colleagues in the press conference yesterday, I really want to win this game today and if we lose this game everyone will be asking me 'is the title race over?'

“Sometimes your job is really easy, we just have to throw everything we have in the next game and that's West Ham."

Grealish was named in City’s starting line up to face Man United, and the former Aston Villa star was asked about responding to Liverpool’s win.

The 26-year-old responded by rejecting the claims made by Klopp about not following the fixtures of their title rivals.

"People say they don't watch but you obviously do,” Grealish told Sky Sports.

“You keep track on other teams around you. It gives us an extra bit of motivation."
