You'll win free holidays to Scotland for LIFE if you can prove the Loch Ness Monster exists

As far as autumnal destinations go, the Scottish countryside is definitely up there. Cosy nights by the fire, cultural trips to the Capital and a Loch with its very own monster - Scotland has it all.

And thanks to one travel company you could win trips to Scotland for life - provided you can prove the Loch Ness Monster is real. Sounds pretty simple, right?

Snaptrip is offering 20 people the chance to win free holidays in Scotland for life (Snaptrip)

In response to new research from geneticists from New Zealand which claims that the Monster could be a 'giant eel' (based on DNA findings), Snaptrip has decided to offer free trips for life to anyone that can find proof that the Loch Ness monster is real.

The competition description reads: "We will be reviewing the submitted evidence on a case-by-case basis, and the first 20 people to send in satisfactory proof will receive free stays in Scotland for life!

"All submissions will be considered, however, we are particularly interested in receiving video footage, high-res photographs, and corroborating eyewitness accounts.

"Receiving independent eyewitness accounts from the same sighting, from people who have no knowledge of each other is also very important to us."

The first 20 people to submit indisputable proof will be permitted to choose from a list of select properties on the Snaptrip website. Each winner will be entitled to five stays a year.

Some of the properties included are:

  • Strathdon Castle, Aberdeenshire
  • Kirkliston Castle, Edinburgh
  • Ayrshire Castle, Ayrshire
  • Duns Castle, Scottish Borders
  • Aikwood Tower, Scottish Borders
  • Gothic Castle Estate, Galway
  • Knock Old Castle, North Ayrshire
  • Barscobe Castle, Dumfries and Gallowa y

Speaking about the competition Matt Fox, Snaptrip's CEO said: “The tale of the Loch Ness monster has been a mystery for centuries, so it was very exciting to hear about the news of new findings from the geneticists in New Zealand.

"We have 6,000+ properties in Scotland and send more than 15,000 customers on holiday there each year. Therefore, we want to get our hands on as much evidence as possible to prove that the monster is real and give our customers yet another reason to visit the beautiful Scottish Isles. If you have any proof, please get in touch and let us know!"

You can submit your proof and enter the competition here.
