Noel Edmonds has taken to driving around Bristol in a London taxi, reports the Independent. It is claimed the Deal or No Deal star bought the black cab so he can use taxi lanes in the western city, where the hit Channel 4 series is filmed, without getting in trouble. The local press have apparently mobilised to try to catch him in the act but with no luck. However, Edmonds' spokesman pooh-poohs the idea, saying the presenter is simply a taxi enthusiast. "[The press] have been following him for months, but it's not why he bought it," he said. "Noel is just a very enthusiastic motorist who loves cars and has always fancied driving a black cab."
