'You little Tyke' - latest round-up of Nottingham Forest transfer news as rumours gather pace

It’s been a busy day of transfer news involving Nottingham Forest, so here’s your evening round-up.

SHARP INTEREST BLUNTED

Billy Sharp is understood to have rejected a return to  Nottingham Forest , instead preferring to remain at Sheffield United and fight for his place.

Boss Chris Wilder has admitted there had been interest in the 33-year-old, who played for Forest during a loan spell from Southampton in 2012 when he scored 11 times.

FOREST MAKE APPROACH FOR PREMIER LEAGUE STRIKE DUO

Forest have made an official approach for Billy Sharp and Glenn Murray, according to reports.

Sheffield United  and Brighton and Hove Albion have both been approached by the Reds  about the possibility of signing the pair, according to Sky Sports News.

SUFFERING REJECTION

Forest and Leeds United have reportedly been snubbed by striker Renaud Emond.

Edmond,  it was reported last month  , interested the Championship promotion-chasers with Premier League side Norwich City also said to be interested.

Forest are reportedly monitoring Barnsley midfielder Alex Mowatt, but he is unlikely to be a top priority during the January transfer window.

According to  The Athletic  , head coach Sabri Lamouchi is keen to strengthen the Reds promotion push with a striker and a winger with the club also picking out central midfielders such as former Leeds man Mowatt.

I WANT AWAY

Charlton Athletic striker Lyle Taylor is up for sale after rejecting a new deal from the new owners at The Valley.

According to the  South London Press and Mercury  , East Street Investments - who took over Charlton last week - have withdrawn an offer of a new contract to the 29-year-old striker.

SISSOKO LATEST

Forest continue to be linked with striker Ibrahim Sissoko.

And the  Reds  have reportedly made the Niort striker, who is also said to be interesting other Championship clubs, a 'priority' this month.

Besiktas have also been touted as a possible destination for the 24-year-old, according to reports in France.
