'You know how they play' - Kelechi Iheanacho sends blunt Liverpool warning before Leicester City visit

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has sent Liverpool a stern warning ahead of Tuesday night's Premier League clash.

The Reds travel to the King Power less than a week after their dramatic Carabao Cup victory over Brendan Rodgers' side.

After being 3-1 down at half-time, Liverpool fought back to draw 3-3 at the end of the 90 minutes before going on to beat them 5-4 on penalties to progress to the next round of the competition.

Tuesday night will be another test, though, as Leicester look for revenge after last week's meeting at Anfield.

"We’re looking forward to it," Iheanacho told LCFC TV . "We played them in the cup and it obviously was a good game, but we lost.

"We’re hoping to do better in the Premier League and get something out of the game.

"When you play a team like them, you know how they play, you know about the players, and you know how to hurt them as well, how to attack them. We know about how they play and hopefully we give them a game.

"We put in a good performance at Anfield and we’re hoping to repeat that at King Power Stadium. Hopefully we’ll do that."

Liverpool's last trip to the King Power ended in a 3-1 defeat, despite the Reds taking the lead with just over 20 minutes left to play.

Late goals from James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes represented a capitulation Jurgen Klopp's side will hope to avoid this time around.

Liverpool are boosted by the return of Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Curtis Jones and Thiago, who have all been sidelined with Covid in recent weeks.
