Dan Meis has responded to Carlo Ancelotti's shock exit from Everton on Tuesday and mentioned a warning some fans gave him about supporting the Blues.
Following speculation in numerous Spanish outlets on Monday that the Italian manager could return to Real Madrid, the story escalated over the next 24 hours.
Los Blancos announced the return of Ancelotti at 6pm on Tuesday, leaving Evertonians shocked and the club in need of yet another new manager to take the helm.
And Meis was one of those who took to Twitter to share his thoughts.
In response to Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers' question on where Everton turn next, the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium architect made a tongue-in-cheek remark on the tough life he has chosen in supporting the club.
Meis tweeted: "I am surprised there weren’t a million Ted Lasso suggestions to this….sigh…it’s really disappointing that we are there again. I know you guys warned me it took faith and fortitude to be an Everton fan but jeeze…"
One Evertonian then jokingly responded that it wasn't too late for Meis to get out and save himself, to which the American joked back: "Haha…believe me I have tried…"

The architect was lauded in July 2019 after his designs for a new state-of-the-art stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock were publicly revealed for the first time.
However, in June 2020, it was announced that Meis would no longer be involved in the project - with architectural duties of Everton's proposed new stadium switching to UK firm Pattern.
