'You got the audacity to call me a COWARD sit down': Liam angrily responds to Noel's claims he's a 'coward' over reunion

Liam Gallagher has blasted his brother Noel for calling him a 'coward' in an interview when asked about the chances of an Oasis reunion.

Noel told White and Jordan on talkSPORT radio yesterday (May 23) that Liam was being 'disingenuous' by repeatedly getting fans hopes up over a reunion and said that Liam wouldn't call him directly about it calling him a 'coward'. This was after speculation of an Oasis reunion ramped up at the weekend after reports emerged in The Sun of potential plans for the band to reunite at Knebworth in 2025.

However, the strained relationship between the Burnage brothers, which split the band in 2009, appears to be as toxic as ever with Liam reacting angrily to Noel's comments on his social media.

In the Tweet Liam referenced the One Love Manchester benefit concert which Liam performed at with Coldplay, instead of Noel as many had hoped. Liam hit out at Noel at the time calling him a 'sad ****' for not reuniting Oasis for the concert at Old Trafford cricket ground, with Noel on a family trip at the time.

After this he lamented saying "you got the audacity to call me a coward{?} sit down you ****end.

In a Tweet sent this morning, Liam exploded in anger, saying: "I don’t wish AIDS on people I turn up and play the MUSIC for the people of MANCHESTER who have just had a terror attack while you sit on your dingy sipping champagne and you got the audacity to call me a COWARD sit down you **** end."

But, Liam's enthusiasm for an Oasis reunion doesn't appear dampened despite this outburst. In the replies to the Tweet one fan said: "Reunion is off then I take it?" To which Liam countered: "Why say that."

Although he would reply to another fan saying "reunion he hates oasis fans he’s full of s***" so the odds of a happy coming together of the brothers any time soon would still appear some way off.

Noel has said in recent months that if Liam is keen on a reunion then he or his people should call him. He repeated this yesterday on talkSPORT, but claimed that will not be happening. "If he's got a plan he should get someone to call, he doesn't have to speak to me, he won't speak to me I know he won't speak to me, coward," he said.

Jim White added: "So you're open to it?" Noel says: "I'm open to a phone call, for a conversation. Other than that, stop playing with the kids, it's not fair on the fans, it's not fair."

Both Liam, 50, and Noel, 55, are set to release solo albums soon and are each due to go on tour next year. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are playing at Wythenshawe Park on August 26, supported by Primal Scream and Future Islands.
