‘Cold-blooded cruelty’: Donald Trump doesn’t want to waste time to begin ‘looting’ America

It’s a moment of celebration for President Donald Trump and his team – his “One Big Beautiful Bill” has been passed, in the dead of the night. Of course, that calls for celebrations, after all, he did manage to bamboozle millions of Americans – talking about the middle class, lower middle class, and those below the poverty line – into believing that his bill will benefit them.

Trump’s flagship legislative package was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on May 22, 2025, with a narrow vote of 215–214, following an all-night session that extended into the early morning hours. The timing of the vote was a planned move to bury internal divisions within the Republican Party and to ensure the bill’s smooth passage in the House so that it is approved without much opposition from those pointing out how it does barely anything for the ordinary American and benefits the wealthy in heaps.

So, of course, the president is busy celebrating.

Of course, those blinded by Trump and his empty promises are still out there defending the bill, probably unable to understand its repercussions until it hits them in the face. Yes, the bill does include benefits for the middle-class and lower-income Americans, but they are either temporary or conditional. The child tax credit increases to $2,500, but only until 2028, after which it drops to $2,000. Then there are the “Trump savings accounts” that offer $1,000 per child annually. But it is only for those who can afford to save, limiting the impact on the lowest-income families. Then there is the $800 billion cut from Medicaid – which Trump had long denied would ever happen – including new work requirements, reducing access to health care for low-income individuals, which means kicking millions off their health care coverage.

It also includes SNAP (food stamps) reductions, making food assistance now difficult to access. These last two updates would impact the poor families the most.

So, who wins? Top earners see the largest permanent gains, while middle-income families get modest, mostly temporary relief. Is that what the MAGA-dosed Americans were looking for?

The average MAGA American will still probably defend the bill till they run out of breath or until it is their life at stake, courtesy of Trump’s “beautiful” bill, whichever happens first.
