You could get paid £1,000 to watch Christmas films and eat mince pies

With December 1 signalling the unofficial start to the festive season, Buzz Bingo has announced its mission to determine the best Christmas film of all time.

The online company is taking the task so seriously that it will hire one festive film buff to watch and rate Christmas films and eat snacks.

The chosen applicant will be paid £1,000 to do so.

As well as the cash, whoever is chosen for the role will also receive a Christmas hamper full of goodies to help get through the job.

This will include a classic chocolate selection box, hot chocolate, mince pies and more.

The following films will be watched and reviewed:

  • The Santa Clause
  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • The Holiday
  • Nativity
  • Christmas With The Kranks
  • Bad Santa
  • Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Deck The Halls
  • Love Actually
  • Jingle All The Way
  • Elf
  • Home Alone
  • Die Hard
  • How The Grinch Stole Christmas
