Denver Broncos fans who aren’t making the trip to Nashville, Tennessee this week could still end up being on national television during the NFL draft.
In addition to having former linebackers Al Wilson (second round) and Karl Mecklenburg (third round) announce draft picks this year, the Broncos will also have ex-safety David Bruton and several other “special guests” announce picks in the fourth and fifth rounds.
The fourth- and fifth-round picks will be announced from Winter Park Resort, a ski resort in Colorado. The resort is offering $59 lift tickets (Saturday only) and discounted lodging for the weekend of the draft.
One or more of the team’s picks at the ski resort could air live on NFL Network, giving fans a chance to get on TV. Here’s what it looked like when former quarterback Jake Plummer announced the team’s fourth-round pick in 2016:
Denver owns picks Nos. 125, 148 and 156 in the fourth and fifth rounds. Bruton played for the team for seven years and was a key special teams contributorg during the team’s Super Bowl run in 2015.
