You Cannot Deny That Survivor: Australia V The World Is Truly The Mother Olympics

Whether you’re a casual Survivor watcher or a die-hard fan, you cannot deny that Survivor: Australia V The World is not only one of the best seasons ever, but it’s truly the Mother Olympics, because the ladies are really running the show this season!

This article contains Survivor: Australia V The World spoilers. You’ve been warned.

For many reasons, Australian Survivor‘s second season for 2025, Survivor: Australia V The World, is truly a standout. Firstly, it’s the last season we get Jonathan LaPaglia as host before David ‘Golden God’ Genat takes over in 2026.

Secondly, it’s truly a game where we see the women — from both tribes — absolutely dominate the game.

Now, for folks who’ve yet to feast their eyes on any Survivor show, it is definitely a game where you need an alliance to… SURVIVE.

One of the most iconic alliances to have been birthed by Survivor is the Black Widow Brigade, which was founded in 2008’s US Survivor: Micronesia by Parvati Shallow.

Well, in a truly glorious turn of events, two members of the Black Widow Brigade have returned for Survivor: Australia V The World: Parvati and Cirie Fields.

So, with that history, the Black Widows naturally gravitated towards each other whilst bringing on new members from the World Tribe, such as New Zealand Survivor‘s Lisa Holmes and Survivor: Québec‘s Kassandre ‘Kass’ Bastarache.

While they’re not officially the ‘Black Widow Brigade’, it’s evident that the women of the World Tribe have joined together when it comes to tribal council — especially in episode four, where all the girlies not only got Tony Vlachos eliminated BUT looked out for Parvarti when she clocked the hidden idol.

And, for the Australian tribe, it appears to be the same, with Kirby Bentley building a strong relationship with Sarah Tilleke. OF COURSE, we also cannot forget the absolute icons, Shonee Bowtell and Janine Allis.

On top of the strong alliances, it’s also worth highlighting that all four eliminations so far have been men: Rob Bentele, David Genat, George Mladenov and Tony.

As a result, only two men (at the time of writing) remain in the game: Luke Toki and Tommi Manninen.

With such stellar alliances, smooth gameplay and a cheeky pattern in eliminations, Survivor fans have absolutely been fanging the absolute power of the women this season, especially the fact that all women have made it to the merger!!

And, Shonee has become the only contestant in Survivor history to make it to merger four times.

Now, before anyone comes for me in terms of gender ratio’s the season, I would say nah mate. The divas definitely had chats with everyone to get things sorted, and nope. The blokes were booted for a reason!

Also, Shonee, Parvarti, Kirby and Cirie were up for elimination during cheeky discussions ahead of tribal councils.

As they say, don’t hate the player, hate the game!!! And for this game, we’re rooting for the girls!
