One dog walker, about to set off for a stroll with her pet on Manchester Road, Salford, where police were called out on Sunday night (January 6), said recent incidents had left her reconsidering her plans.
She said: "It's awful isn't it, what's gotten into people?
"I'm supposed to take my dog for a walk, but I don't think I will now, I just don't feel safe anymore.
“You can’t live your life how you want to anymore.”

A neighbour, who lives on Manchester Road, explained what he saw in the wake of the stabbing.
He said: "I got up several times because I could see the flashing lights at around 4am.
"I finally got up just gone 6am and saw a load of police.
"It's awful, it really is."
Another resident added that, while the area is usually quiet, there have been similar incidents in the past: "It's usually a quiet area, but having said that, there have been some stabbings along this road in the last two years.
"It's always a sad to hear of something like that and this is no different."
A neighbour who came home late to find the scene on Manchester Road, told the MEN: "I got home late last night so I didn't see anything. I had to be escorted to my home, it's mad isn't it."
