"You can't blame Harry Kane" - Tottenham fans send strong Levy message amid transfer update

Tottenham fans have sent Spurs chairman Daniel Levy a strong message after Harry Kane missed training on Monday.

The England captain was expected to return to Hotspur Way for COVID-19 tests and blood work following a short holiday.

In what was meant to be his first reunion with the Tottenham squad and of course the first time meeting new boss Nuno Espirito Santo after Euro 2020, the 28-year-old failed to show.

football.london understands that clubmates Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have returned to training following similar excursions but Kane was not with them.

The striker has made his intentions to leave north London clear this summer, with Manchester City emerging as the favourites for his signature.

Following the news that Kane had chosen not to return to training, Tottenham fans directed their frustration at Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who had not done much to endear himself to Spurs fans throughout the year following the failed European Super League proposals.

It remains to be seen whether Kane's actions will be enough to force Levy and Spurs into a sale this summer, but it is understood that the north London outfit are keen not to lose the striker.

He still has three years left to run on his current contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
