You can stay in the room where J.K. Rowling wrote the last Harry Potter book

Harry Potter fans looking to take a Wizarding World inspired trip may want to consider a trip to the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh.

But we're not talking another one of the Harry Potter filming locations .

Instead, the luxury hotel needs to be on your radar because it was where J.K. Rowling wrote the final Harry Potter book; and you can even stay in the same suite where the author finished the novel.

We're talking down to the same desk where J.K. sat and wrote the story.

Previously known as the 'Tweed Suite', the hotel renamed the luxurious room to become the 'J.K. Rowling Suite' and there are plenty of magical touches in a nod to the world of Harry Potter, including an owl door knocker.

Guests may also want to check out the marble bust of Hermes sitting proudly in the suite's hallway, as it's been signed by the author after she finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

It's no surprise that the Balmoral was on J.K.'s radar. After all it offers up some seriously beautiful interiors, plush furnishings and beautiful views of the Scottish countryside.

The suite itself is like a luxury home away from home too with a large spacious bedroom and king sized bed, an ensuite marble bathroom with a huge tub, and a separate living area with plush sofas and desks.

Then of course there are plenty of extra perks such as complimentary tea & coffee making facilities, an in-room bar, and even a packing/unpacking service to save guests precious relaxation time.

Basically, the ultimate retreat for any writer.

Unfortunately if you want to book a stay you may need to dig deep into the vaults at Gringotts, as prices start from around £1,500 a night.

A stay in the suite won't come cheap though (The Balmoral)

Still if you are interested in a stay you can check the available dates and find out more on the Rocco Forte Hotels website here .

For something a little more budget-friendly, there's always the Hogwarts themed apartment in Edinburgh complete with a Gryffindor common room you won't want to miss out on.
