You can stay in a pink castle in the UK with rooms hidden in turrets and a hot tub

Disney princess fans can live out their own fairytale thanks to a ridiculously pretty pink castle that you can now book for UK holidays.

We're talking a countryside location with sea views, an outdoor hot tub, rooms with faux stained glass windows, and interiors that have all of the charm you'd expect to find in a storybook-worthy property. There's even a sauna!

Even the rooms have major Rapunzel vibes, with some of the bedrooms tucked away in the building's turrets.

The castle, located in Ayrshire, Scotland, is easily a contender for the UK's best fairytale style stays. The property actually dates back to the 14th century, but was renovated in 2013 and now offers up a five-star stay.

The family-friendly home boasts four spacious rooms, some of which are tucked away in the turrets. There are plenty of fun surprises for children throughout the castle too, from tiny carved wooden mice to grazing 'sheep' on the wildflower roof.

Meanwhile the colourful stained windows, winding wooden staircases and eye-catching decor all make for a picture-perfect setting.

The castle has everything you could want for an idyllic break. As well as four bedrooms and three bathrooms there's an open-plan kitchen with all the tools you need to whip up a hearty meal, not to mention there's a spacious living and dining area.

On sunnier days there's an outdoor space for al fresco dining while you take in the uninterrupted views out to the sea, or wander to the beautiful gardens to relax in the outdoor hot tub while soaking up the views of the gloriously green countryside.

For those seasons when the sunny weather isn't necessarily around, the home boasts cosy reading nooks, underfloor heating and even a wood burner if you want to snuggle up. (There's also a TV should you want to rewatch some of your favourite fairytale films!).

The castle looks like it's straight from a storybook (cottages-and-castles.co.uk)

Want to book a stay? Prices start from £2,240 for a week's stay. The property sleeps up to eight people which works out at £40pp a night. It's also dog-friendly for up to two dogs, at an additional £20 charge per pet. You can find out more and book on cottages-and-castles.co.uk.

Jemima Kirkwood from Cottages and Castles commented: " We love even more that the whole castle celebrates local craftsmanship as it was resurrected with the help of Scottish architects, builders, upholsterers, painters and stone masons. In a day where sustainability and ‘home grown’ is important, this castle represents support to its local community. It is a holiday home like no other and will add a touch of magic to anyone's stay."
