You can spend the night ghost hunting at Newsham Park Hospital

A terrifying ghost hunt is taking place in one of Liverpool’s most well known buildings - and it's known for paranormal activity.

Those brave enough can spend the night exploring Newsham Park Hospital, the abandoned building which was once a medical hospital and a mental asylum before closing in 1997.

Dusk Till Dawn Events is offering the chance to spend the night inside the 99,000 sq ft of terrifying corridors and rooms in search of ghostly inhabitants.

There are tonnes of ghost stories to come out of the Grade II listed building with many former workers in the hospital claiming to see, hear and feel things.

Speaking to the ECHO, one former worker said he still has nightmares and is traumatised by the ‘pure evil’ in the building.

Former patients at the hospital were also known to mention children and people who weren't there.

Recent visitors have reported sightings of ghosts and hearing disembodied voices at the cavernous building.

Broken beds, anti-suicide grilles and wheelchairs are all still sat in decaying rooms and corridors to this day.

According to Dusk Till Dawn Events, previous attendants have reported objects such as stones and nails being thrown with force during vigils and even furniture moving by itself during past seances.

Throughout the night there will be vigits and seances, ghost hunting equipment for you to use, ouija boards and table tipping and free time to conduct your own investigations.

There are several events throughout November, though tickets are selling out quickly.
