You can save your local pub by doing one simple thing - buying a drink.

As the hospitality industry struggles to cope during the coronavirus crisis, which has already seen pubs, bars, restaurants and theatres across the country close their doors, many are wondering how they’ll survive.

Now, there’s a way for you to help out your local pub during these difficult times, courtesy of Budweiser Brewing Group.

The Save Pub Life initiative encourages customers to buy a £20 gift card to your local pub to be used when they reopen, and Budweiser Brewing Group will double it - meaning the pub gets £40.

The Budweiser Brewing Group will match the value of the gift cards up to the combined total of £1m and will go directly to businesses when they need it most.

The programme is open to pubs, bars and locals across the country.

The Merseyside pubs already signed up to the Save Pub Life initiative include:
