Google has unveiled a small but meaningful update to Chrome on Android. It now allows you to move the address bar to the bottom of the screen. These days, we all have big phones, and the change aims to improve one-handed usability.
Depending on how you hold your device, reaching the top of the screen just to type or tap on the address bar can be inconvenient. With this update, Chrome gives you the flexibility to place the bar where it feels more natural.

If you want to try it, simply long-press on the address bar and tap “Move address bar to bottom.” Besides that, you can head to Settings > Address Bar and select your preferred location. The update starts rolling out today and will be available to all Android users over the coming weeks.
This is one of several recent Chrome updates which give you more control over your browsing experience. Previously, features like tab grouping and custom theme support had also been introduced.
AI Features Coming to Chromebook Plus
On a similar note, Google has also announced new AI-powered tools for Chromebook Plus laptops. It includes smart window grouping, AI-generated custom wallpapers, and a new “Help Me Write” feature that works across websites.
The new tools are rolling out along with the latest Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 laptops, positioning them as more capable productivity machines with Gemini AI integration baked in.
However, that’s not all. Google also made its AI-first revamp of Google Colab available to everyone. It was originally announced at I/O 2025, and the updated Colab integrates Gemini directly into the notebook experience, helping with code suggestions, data analysis, and visualization tasks.
