You can now rent Doc Martin's surgery and home in Cornwall

Here is the quaint Cornwall based cottage you need to visit- and here's why.

Fern Cottage is the stunning surgery in the famous Doc Martin TV series- with breathtaking views over the historic harbour of Port Isaac.

With the new series of Doc Martin hitting our screens, you can now rent   Fern Cottage , more commonly known as ITV drama Doc Martin’s surgery and home.

The series follows a grumpy former London surgeon, Dr Martin Ellingham, who develops a fear of blood and begins working as a GP in a sleepy Cornish fishing village where he used to holiday as a child.

Doc Martin season nine has returned for an eight-part return which started Wednesday 25th September at 9pm on ITV , and will continue weekly.

There are plenty of reasons those visiting Cornwall would love to stay at the £278 a night cottage, and not just because of it's claim to fame.

The property boasts a stone fireplace, beamed ceiling,  and slate flagged floor- and not forgetting the beautiful sea view of the fabulous harbour from both double bedrooms.

Here are just some pictures of what to expect at Fern Cottage.

Whatever the weather, visitors will be able to enjoy the dining rooms log burner too- perfect for those cosy nights in.

Also, for the Cornish sunny spells the property has a slate sun terrace and two level garden to enjoy the views.

Those interested in booking can do so for no more than 4 people.
