You can now hire a dreamy UK castle with friends for less than £15pp a night

Forget a bog standard cottage in the countryside; you and your friends could now book a getaway in a real-life castle.

The 19th century property boasts serious wow factor thanks to its themed banquet hall complete with wooden furniture and stone walls, coats of arms adorning the walls, and even statues of knight's armours and tapestries for those finishing touches.

Oh, and despite the castle being fit for royalty, you won't need a huge budget to book a stay.

In fact, you can find prices from £215 a night on Airbnb(based on an October stay). Which means that if you fill the property with 16 people, that's approximately £13pp a night!

You'll get the whole property to yourself too, so it really does feel like you've stepped into your very own storybook.

Although the castle in West Ashton looks like it belongs in the history books, inside you'll find all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay.

There are eight bedrooms across the main castle and its Clock House, as well as bathrooms with freestanding tubs and showers, and a fully equipped kitchen that's ideal for whipping up a hearty feast.

Meanwhile, the spacious conservatory can be an ideal spot for lounging around, while the large garden also has an al fresco dining area if the British weather is kind.

Bringing the family? There's plenty for budding princes and princesses to explore too, including a games room with table football, pool table, Air hockey and giant jenga.

Other highlights include the children's play area with swings, a low level climbing frame and even a rope ladder.

Then of course the castle is filled with nooks and crannies to discover, including winding staircases up a tower leading to the upstairs.

In fact, the central turret of the castle boasts its own observatory for stargazing.

Unsurprisingly, the castle books up quickly, so don't be disheartened if you can't quite make it work for your chosen travel dates.

The silver lining? There are heaps more dreamy UK castles you can hire for holidays and romantic getaways too...
