You can now get McDonald's and KFC delivered in Blyth through Uber Eats

Uber Eats is now delivering takeaway food to homes in the Blyth area.

The food delivery app has launched in Blyth, Northumberland today, enabling customers there to get takeaway food quickly delivered to their doors.

KFC and McDonald's are the first two restaurants to sign up.

Toussaint Wattinne, General Manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “We are really excited to be launching in Blyth, firstly with McDonald’s and KFC, and a host of local restaurants joining in the coming weeks. As the nation’s lockdown slowly beings to lift, we hope to make it even easier for local residents to enjoy a variety of delicious food both comfortably and safely.”

Uber Eats says it has introduced measures to help ensure that every courier can access the PPE they need for free to help keep them safe when they deliver with Uber Eats.

As well as providing free sanitising products, Uber Eats is providing couriers with over one million masks, the delivery firm says.

To use Uber Eats, customers can either download its smartphone app or log on to its website, ubereats.com

Delivery fees apply.
