You can now get a train from Wigan all the way to North Korea via Berlin and Moscow

Very soon, travellers will be able to get the train all the way from Wigan North Western to Pyongyang in North Korea.

Organised by Wigan-based Lupine Travel , the unusual expedition takes tourists from Wigan to London onto Berlin, Warsaw, Moscow, Irkutsk, Ulaanbaatar and Beijing before arriving at Pyongyang.

The trip starts in Wigan on April 25, 2020 and travels across Europe before arriving to North Korea on May 23.

Altogether the trip costs £3,195 and includes accommodation, meals and tour guides in the visiting countries.

However, travellers can book sections independently too, and skip cities or parts of the trip they don’t fancy.

There is also an option to extend a stay in North Korea with an extra three nights; visiting Wonsan on the East Coast and the stunning Mt Kumgang National Park.
