You can now fly from Delhi to Shimla! Daily flights commence from today

Daily flights from Delhi to Shimla are all set to restart again. As per the latest developments, Alliance Air is starting its maiden Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) route Delhi-Shimla-Delhi from today.

Other than Shimla, the airline will further expand its network in Himachal Pradesh to facilitate travel of people as per the statement issued by the airline.

Deputy Engineer of the airline, Yash Vardhan Singh, stated that with the vision of connecting New India, they are making efforts to offer better air connectivity between Tier-2 /Tier-3 towns to their closest city hubs. The airline also informed that the flight shall operate with ATR42-600 aircraft.

If reports are to go by, the airline added that the introductory all-inclusive fare of the flight tickets on the said route will be INR 2141, and that the Delhi to Shimla flight will run at 7:10 AM, while the flight from Shimla to Delhi will operate at 8:50 AM daily.

The airline authorities are of the view that this move will enhance connectivity, apart from boosting trade and tourism in the state. Airline representatives further added that it would contribute to the state's economic development.

Reportedly, there are only aisle and window seats in Alliance Air and the aircrafts promise comfortable leg space with a seat pitch of 30. For more details, one can check the official website, www.allianceair.in.
