You can now buy Smarties chocolate bars in three different flavours

With the UK still in lockdown, going to the supermarket to pick up some new treats is one of the only exciting things we can look forward to.

Which is why we were thrilled to find out that Nestle has just launched three new Smarties bars three different flavours.

The new chocolate bars come in milk, white and chocolate orange flavours, and they're packed with the iconic colourful sweets from our childhoods.

The milk chocolate flavour was available a few years back but has been re-launched alongside the other new flavours with new paper packaging.

Instagram food blogger Newfoodsuk recently shared the new treats on his page, along with the caption: "These Smarties Chocolate Blocks sound amazing! Especially the white chocolate one - available at @asda."

His post has been liked more than 4,000 times and commented on by sweet-toothed shoppers who are eager to try the new Smarties bars.

Each 90g bar comes in a paper sleeve that's 100% recyclable, so you can help save the environment whilst treating yourself to some mouth-watering chocolate.

The sharing bags of the regular Smarties sweets will also now be sold in the paper packaging.

Nestle expects to make all packaging in the UK recyclable by April, and says it is the first global confectionery brand to make this move.

You can find all three flavours at Asda supermarkets, where they are priced at £1 each. Find your nearest Asda by using its store finder tool here.

It was only last week we reported that KitKat Zebra bars are now available in the UK.

They feature the same crispy wafer on a dark chocolate base, but are instead topped with marbled dark and white chocolate. Yum!
