You can now buy Aldi's first ever Kevin the Carrot advent calendar - for just 79p

The nation’s favourite carrot just got sweeter as supermarket Aldi has launched a Kevin the Carrot Advent Calendar.

Available in stores now, the chocolate calendar is just 79p.

Kevin resumed his place as Aldi’s Christmas mascot in the supermarket’s Christmas TV advert this year.

The ad is a Dickensian-style take on A Christmas Carol, and follows the story of Christmas loathing Ebanana Scrooge, who is reminded of the joys of the festive season by Kevin the Carrot.

The animated story introduces viewers to a medley of fruit and vegetable characters - including Marcus Radishford, Tiny Tom, Peas and Goodwill and Kevin’s Dickensian family.

Now, Aldi is giving shoppers the chance to eat a chocolatey version of the popular character with its first ever Kevin the Carrot Advent Calendar (65g).

Each door opens to reveal a bespoke chocolate mould of the favourite members of the carrot family, reports Wales Online.

The chocolate is Aldi’s popular Dairyfine brand, and is Rainforest Alliance Certified.

Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot Advent Calendar is available in stores across the UK now.
