You can now book a Jennifer Lopez inspired cruise complete with 90s dance classes

J.Lo fans can take their love of the pop superstar onto the seven seas with a new cruise inspired by the hitmaker.

The Let's Get Loud singer is a brand ambassador for Virgin Voyages, so it's no surprise that the sailing will take place on the cruise line's Scarlet Lady ship from April 14 to 19.

Along with Richard Branson, J.Lo has created a "one-of-a-kind collaboration on the high seas focused on women and entrepreneurship."

Sailors will be invited to take part in morning meditation classes on The Perch, adrenaline-pumping fitness classes ranging from spinning to bungee, and 90s dance classes with Jennifer-inspired playlists.

They will also get to bask in the mud room of the spa’s thermal suite and eat delicious meals cooked by a Michelin-star chef collective.

Lopez, a Grammy nominated and People’s Choice Icon Award Winner, has designed the cruise in line with the stated goal of her Limitless Lab - program to support Latina entrepreneurs through partnerships with various organisations.

Cruise ship guests will get to take part in a line-up of "engaging events that balance personal and professional growth".

“My mission has always been to entertain, empower and inspire my fans to live their lives without putting limits on what they believe they can achieve,” said Jennifer Lopez.

“Richard and I share this passion for partnerships and experiences that bring people joy and lift you up, which is why I am so excited to work with Virgin Voyages to bring the Limitless Voyage to the seven seas.”

The cruise sets sail on April 14 from Virgin Voyages’ homeport in Miami and promises to deliver "connection opportunities and panel discussions led by women entrepreneurs to immersive well-being programming designed to replenish and restore Sailors’ energy."

Fifty cabins on the voyage will be given to Latina entrepreneurs through the non-profit, Grameen America.

While Virgin Voyages does not have traditional 'cruise godmothers', J.Lo is in great company when it comes to iconic women who partner with cruise lines.

It's a long-standing tradition that a cruise ship has a godmother to bring the vessel good luck and protection and in recent decades, famous faces have been offered the title.

In fact, the Queen, Duchess of Cambridge and Oprah are some of the iconic women who have accepted the role.

The main responsibility of those in the role is to show up at the ship's christening ceremony, where they will officially name the ship.

This usually involves breaking a bottle of champagne on the hull (although nowadays, the sheer size of the ships means often this involves pushing a button to launch the bottle).
