The Old Fishing Station is a cosy cottage that's nestled right on a private island which can only be accessed by walking across a floating bridge. In fact, guests need to leave their cars on the mainland, although the owner does offer a helping hand when it comes to taking luggage across to the home.
The cottage comes with plenty of perks including an outdoor hot tub that overlooks the water and surrounding scenery, as well as an al fresco dining area for those who want to enjoy the views with a morning cup of coffee.

It can also make for a romantic bolthole, sleeping up to two people.
The home boasts a double bedroom, bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen for those who want to whip up hearty meals after a day of hiking. As for the living room, you can expect plush sofas, a TV for film nights, and of course a wood burner for warming up on those chillier evenings!
Prices start from £647 for seven nights, which works out at approximately £92 a night, so can make for a budget-friendly stay.

For a start there are heaps of breathtaking walking trails so you can explore that beautiful Scottish scenery, while the former fishing village of Badachro is home to some great local shops, restaurants and pubs if you're looking to enjoy a date night.
