In the past, we’ve talked about packs in MLB The Show 25 and how the best content in the game has often been locked behind them this year. It was kind of the crux of our piece about Diamond Dynasty players not needing every meta card in the game to be competitive. Despite this, the marketplace on Diamond Dynasty has continued to get more and more expensive. And unless you were able to finish Live Series early, it’s been incredibly difficult to complete it in order to get the best cards in the game. However, MLB The Show 25 is currently having a flash sale until midnight, affording Diamond Dynasty players the opportunity to get big cards for less than their market value.
Before we get into the cards that are potentially up for grabs and why some packs are a better investment than others, here’s a list of the packs currently on sale and how many of them you can purchase at their current price point:
- Vault Choice Pack – 30,000 Stubs (1 max)
- Chase Choice Pack – 25,000 Stubs (2 max)
- April Spotlight Pack – 15,000 Stubs (2 max)
- 20th Anniversary Choice Pack – 5,000 Stubs (1 max)
- Special Edition Legend Diamond Choice Pack – 5,000 Stubs (1 max)
All of these packs vary greatly in terms of value. So, which ones should you get?
The two packs that are guaranteed to net you profit are the 20th Anniversary and Legend packs. In terms of the former, the pack only costs 5,000 Stubs, and every card you can get from it quick sells for no less than 10,000. That’s a guaranteed 5,000 in net profit. In terms of the Legend pack, the returns are a bit smaller, but each card in it can be flipped for about 7K, netting you a profit o about 2K.
Outside of that, I have had success with the Vault pack, grabbing Bo Bichette’s Moonshot card, which I was able to sell for about 68,000 Stubs. That said, you aren’t guaranteed to get anything worth that much, especially with 87+ Live Series Diamond cards included. That being said, I also don’t find the two Chase Packs to be worth it, either.
All a Chase Pack does is guarantee a Diamond player. That is the only threshold. And as you probably already know, some of them are completely worthless. That makes 25,000 Stubs a steep investment for no guaranteed ROI.
The Flash Sale ends tonight at midnight, so you’re going to have to act fast if you want a chance at some big pulls for cheap.
