You can have a seven-course Christmas lunch on a luxury 1930s-style train leaving Central Station

You can celebrate Christmas in glamour aboard a vintage-style luxury train which will take you back to a bygone era.

The Northern Belle is rolling into in Glasgow – with plush seats, white linen-covered tables and 1930s-style carriages – promising "a true escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life."

Guests will be treated to a seven-course lunch with all the trimmings and a bottle of wine as liveried stewards attend to your needs and magicians to keep you entertained on the journey to and from Perth. Basically, it's the life we know we deserve.

Meanwhile, you can sip champagne as you take in the winter scenery through the window and mingle with other passengers.

The train leaves Glasgow Central at 11:40am tomorrow and Friday ,December 6 and arrives back in town for 5:35pm.

We know, it's pretty short notice: So if you've not got the day off, there's one leaving from Glasgow on Saturday, March 21 to celebrate Mother's Day next year.

Reservations cost £260 each and can be made on 01270 895306 or email reservations@northernbelle.co.uk.  It's certainly not cheap, but it sounds like a one-of-a-kind experience.

Find out more on the Northern Belle's website.
