Guinness has unveiled a limited-edition range of ‘pubs at home’ to help those who have been missing the atmosphere of their local.
The unique garden pubs, available and installed for £5,000, will have the classic pub feel we all know and love, and be well-stocked with Guinness so Brits can bring the spirit of the local to their own home during this festive season.
The ‘Lock Inn’ pubs are available to purchase here from today to be installed in your back garden. The pubs will be made to order, prepared, and installed in your garden this winter - complete with built in bar and TV, you can create your own ‘local’ in your back garden to enjoy within government guidelines.
This could be the answer for a third of Brits (35%) who claim they don’t plan to celebrate the New Year at all if the pubs are forced to close again this New Year’s Eve.
As a result of lockdown, drinking habits of the British public have changed significantly. And new research from Guinness reveals that over half of Brits (56%) have missed the pub atmosphere, while one in five (21%) wish they could have a home bar to separate work from play.
The study also suggests that whilst a third (30%) love people watching in their favourite bar, a quarter (24%) have even met strangers in pubs who have become great friends.
Drinks made by bartenders, watching the regulars and bar snacks & pub grub all rank high on the list for which elements of the pub missed most.
Lock Inns will be available for the public to buy and have installed by New Year’s Eve. There will also be a series of products to purchase to ensure you can kit out your current entertainment space with Guinness merchandise this festive season.
