We all know how much children love getting close to the fish at Manchester's Sea Life, but not many know you can hand feed the stingrays yourself.
The feeding session is one of the attraction's VIP experiences which take place above the ocean tank.
Away from the public area, visitors can choose between feeding the stingrays, the seven blacktip reef sharks or the two giant resident turtles Cammy and Ernie.
And while the food is given to the turtles and sharks using long tweezers - you probably wouldn't want to do it without them - the cow-nosed stingrays are actually hand fed, letting you get closer than ever to the species.
We tried out the experience, which can be done in pairs, and were amazed at just how close (and wet) you get, and how excited they are to get their food.
You're given gloves and a padded mat to kneel on at the top of the ocean tank.
You then lower your hand with the food inside down a board that's placed in the water and into the mouth of a ray, who gently sucks it off your hand.
A member of the animal care team stays with you to help and also explain more about each species, habitats, diet, and the conservation work Sea Life puts in to caring for these creatures.
You have to be a minimum of eight years old to feed to the turtles, but need to be at least 12 to feed to rays and sharks.
The experiences cost £50 for two people and can be booked online . You might also get a shark tooth collected from the tank if you're lucky.
