With the kids going back to school and the summer holiday rush coming to an end, September is an amazing time for bargain-hunting tourists.

Faro, Portugal
Faro is a great destination if you plan on visiting resorts like Albufeira on south coast of Portugal.
Easyjet and Ryanair both fly the route from Newcastle and you can get a return for as little as £81 already - but prices drop even further in September to little more than £60.
Poland
If you're looking for a budget holiday, Poland is about as good as it gets.
It's beautiful, affordable and fun - and it costs less to fly there from Newcastle in September than it does to get a train to most cities in the UK.
You can get to the lesser known city of Wroclaw for as little as £43 and to the northern coastal city of Gdansk for the ludicrously low price of £29.
Spain
Some destinations in Spain drop in price dramatically the other side of the school holidays.
You can get returns flights to Girona, Malaga and Alicante from between £47-£70.
The Spanish island become far more affordable too - you can get a return ticket to Lanzarote and Ibiza for less than £100.
If you want to stretch the budget a little, take a look at the Easyjet flights to Barcelona for as little as £103.
Geneva, Switzerland
Fancy somewhere a bit different? Give the beautiful Swiss city of Geneva a go.
It might not be the most obvious tourist destination but it's full of interesting sites and things to do.
You can fly from Newcastle Airport for £92 next month.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam is one of those cities you just have to visit at least once.
Whether you're looking for a cultured weekend or a... less cultured one, Amsterdam has the lot.
In September it will cost you as little as £95 to fly there and back.
