You can get paid to visit Mount Everest base camp on an epic 17-day trek

A trek to Mount Everest base camp is one of our top pick of the best once-in-a-lifetime adventures - and now you can get paid to experience it for yourself.

GoKo Travels is looking for someone to join them on a 17-day trek to the Everest Base Camp, to share videos and create content of the overall experience.

You'll get paid £150 for your troubles, but the real prize is that you'll get to join the 17-day tour completely free of charge.

That includes all aspects of the experience whether it's trekking through Sherpa villages, taking in the beautiful alpine monasteries, and staying in traditional teahouses along the way.

Then of course there's the Everest base camp itself in the Himalayas (the camp is in Nepal), surrounded by the world's most-famous peaks. A truly bucket-list-worthy experience.

In return, all you'll need to do is film videos of the trek, that GoKo Travels can use across its website and social media. The best part is you don't need to be a professional videographer - the company is looking for "someone with a passion for telling stories through video".

As for the dates of travel? These can be agreed once travel restrictions are lifted post-Covid, to make life a little easier. It's worth noting that your return flights won't be covered, but all elements of the 17-day tour will be free.

The full job description includes key factors you'll need to meet such as a 'basic understanding of the principles of video production and editing', 'a love for travel and exploring the world' and 'a keen sense of adventure'.

To apply, all you need to do is fill out the online form and explain why you think you're the best person for the job.

Applications have already opened on the GoKo Travels website here (where you'll also find the full T&Cs). Good luck!
