You can get paid £50 an hour to sip Champagne and eat cake at UK wedding fairs

An online exhibition platform is looking to hire a member of the public as a wedding fair tester.

If white gowns, flowers, and vows make your eyes twinkle with wonder, this might be the dream job for you.

Online platform ExpoCart.com will pay one happy candidate £50 an hour to review wedding fairs across England, Wales and Scotland.

If you think the job is for you, get ready to travel a lot: you will be required to attend no fewer than 20 exhibitions between March 9 and the end of September, most of them at weekends.

What are the conditions?

The perfect candidate will be over 18 years of age, have a UK driving licence, be fluent in English and have good writing skills.

Each review needs to be up to 1,000 words long, so  if you thought your undergrad essay-writing days were behind you, you were wrong.

You will also need to be a good photographer, as  reviews must be paired with pictures.

Added to the salary, perks of the job include travel and  accommodation expenses covered.

Jasmine Eilfield, co-founder and chief procurement officer of ExpoCart, said: “Wedding fairs are massive events across the UK, with thousands of engaged couples visiting them every weekend. So, with the wedding season coming up, we want to find out just what is on offer for brides and grooms.

"We’re always keen to expand our services within each sector, ensuring we offer all things customers may want. I think this job is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about weddings, or even a great way for a bride or groom to plan their own wedding, while helping us with some of our own market research in the process.

“We’re excited to hire our wedding fair tester and get them on the road to find all of the hottest trends that wedding fairs in the UK have to offer this year. If you fancy getting paid to spend your weekends sipping Champagne and eating cake, please apply now!”
