Film fans will soon be able to get free tickets for Sunday movies at Empire and Cineworld by buying packets of sweets - which could get you a seat for as little as £2.48.
The 'Sweet Sunday ' promotion is due to launch on May 22. It offers free cinema tickets for customers who buy packets of Maltesers, Galaxy Minstrels, Galaxy Counters, M&Ms, Milky Way Magic Stars, Revels, Skittles and Starbust.
The cinema tickets will be valid for 2D showings at participating Empire and Cineworlds from May 22 to August 22.
Although the deal launches next month, some Sweet Sunday promotional packs of Skittles and Starbust are already on sale.
Hot UK Deals spotted them in Tesco, and worked out you can get a code to redeem for 1 adult cinema ticket at Empire or Cineworld for as little as £2.48 - by buying two packets of £1.24 Skittles or Starburst.
You won't be able to redeem the offer until May, but there is nothing stopping shoppers keeping the packets until then.
To use the offer, you will have to create an account on https://www.sweetsundays.co.uk (when the website is fully launched) and enter the codes provided.
There is a Cineworld at the Gate in Newcastle and an Empire in Sunderland City Centre.
