You can get free chips at McDonald's on Friday

Hungry bargain-hunters will be in their element this Friday (22 November), as McDonald's will be giving everyone free fries.

Anyone who has the app will be able to get their hands on a medium portion of chips, and won't even need a voucher code to do so.

If you've not got the app, head to the Apple App store or Google Play where you'll be able to get it. Once you've downloaded it, head to the deals offer where you'll find the freebie.

If you're an existing customer, you'll be able to order your fries through click and collect. However, new customers can only claim the deal as an in-restaurant purchase.

You should also note that the offer is limited to one portion of fries per person.

Earlier this week McDonald's revealed that it would be extending breakfast hours to run up until 11am instead of 10.30am in stores across the UK.

Following a series of successful trials, the brand decided to make the 11am cut-off point a permanent feature - much to the delight of diners.

Michelle Graham-Clare, McDonald’s UK vice president food & marketing, said: "We all understand the pain of missing out on a McMuffin by a matter of minutes.

"We have listened to our customers’ pleas and are delighted to extend breakfast serving time until 11am, particularly as we head into the festive season when we see a rush of latecomers searching for those all-important hash browns."
