Amazon has cut the price of a smart home speaker that allows you to operate lights, coffee machines and Echo devices with your voice.
The Echo Flex device can be plugged in to a socket and acts as a speaker and intercom system across the house, connecting to Amazon's Alexa-powered devices including the Echo, Echo Dot and smart light bulbs. The Flex is usually priced at £22.99 but has been cut to £12.99 for refurbished versions in the latest Amazon sale.
The Flex, which also has a USB port and can act as a charger for mobile phones and tablets, is 41% down in price but there is a way for shoppers to get their hands on the smart technology for just £2.99 thanks to savvy internet bargain hunters.
Shoppers have combined the Amazon discount with a £10 introductory offer for cashback website Topcashback. The deals website is offering new customers £10 in cashback when they sign up free and then order the Echo Flex deal from Amazon.

The Echo Flex is not the only smart technology Amazon is selling at a lower price in the Spring sale. The 4th generation Echo Dot is now £37.99, down from £45 and can also be bundled up with the Topcashback deal to bring the price down to £27.99.
The Echo Show is reduced by 35%. The price is down from £76.99 to £46.99 and once again can be reduced further using the cashback deal. Other discounts include a previous generation Echo Dot at £26.99.
However, savvy shoppers with patience could wait until July when Amazon's Prime Day sale often reduces the price of Amazon devices even further, with discounts on the likes of the Echo Dot expected to match those seen at Black Friday where prices for the 3rd generation device fell to as little as £13.
Amazon has not announced the timing of Prime Day but it typically falls in July and is the brand's second-biggest sale of the year after Black Friday.
