You can get a free Aperol Spritz in these Manchester bars next week

Manchester’s weather might be more Costa Del Rain than Costa Del Sol right now, but we shouldn’t let that dampen our spirits.

If anything, it’s even more of an excuse to get the drinks flowing, and what better way to do it than with the ultimate summer tipple – an Aperol Spritz. The best news? It’s completely free.

In a bid to brighten up August and celebrate National Prosecco Day (which falls on Tuesday August 13 this year), three bars in and around Greater Manchester will be serving up free glasses of the fruity cocktail.

The first 50 people to turn up at participating venues wearing orange will be given a free Aperol Spritz (Supplied)

To get your hands on one, all you need to do is turn up to one of the participating bars wearing  a splash of orange on August 13.

How far you go with the dress code is completely up to you – you can go as wacky or as understated as you like.

If rocking up wearing a neon orange suit isn’t your thing, you could always accessorise with something simple, like orange nails, an orange belt or wallet, or maybe some orange earrings. As long as you’re wearing something that’s orange, you’ll pass.

It's the perfect excuse for a get together with your friends - no matter what the weather (Supplied)

The bars participating in the offer are:

Con Club - based in Altrincham

Common - based in the Northern Quarter

Vesper - based in Manchester City Centre

Now for the catch – free drinks are only available to the first 50 people through the doors wearing orange in each venue, so if you want a slice of the action, you’ll have to be on the ball.

The deal is limited to one drink per person, and of course, you’ll need to be aged 18 or above to redeem the offer. Bar staff in each participating venue reserve the right to refuse serving customers where they see fit.
