You can get 20 per cent off at Iceland if you are in the Armed Forces or Emergency Services

Frozen food supermarket chain Iceland is to offer 20 per cent off all shopping to anyone who is in the Armed forces or one of the emergency services.

As a thank you Iceland supermarkets has decided to give an exclusive 20% off to all those working for the NHS, Police, Fire Service, Ambulance, HM Coastguard, RNLI and all of our Armed Forces.

To get the discount, all you have to do is show your official ID or a Blue Light Card in store, with no minimum spend required, reports The Mirror.

The offer will last for just eight days, starting next Monday on the 14th October, and ending when shops close on Monday 21st October.

Sir Malcolm Walker, Iceland’s Founder, said: “Like everyone else, I am in awe of the amazing work undertaken by our emergency services and armed forces each and every day of the year. They are the people we all rely on when the going gets too tough for the rest of us.

So we’d like to say a big “thank you” to all those whose work is dedicated to saving and protecting the lives of others, whether that is in the ambulance service or the wider NHS, the police, fire service, HM Coastguard, and the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. Plus the volunteers who readily respond to our emergency calls in the RNLI and Mountain Rescue teams.”
