You can currently bag dreamy Lake District spa breaks from £119 in a luxury hotel

The Lake District is known for making an idyllic getaway thanks to its luxury hotels and breathtaking landscapes.

Thanks to Wowcher, you can currently bag tempting luxury spa breaks in the picturesque hotspot - without the hefty price tag.

The vouchers website is currently offering Lake District breaks from £119 with an overnight stay for two people at the luxurious 4* Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa - complete with breakfast as well as spa and leisure access.

The glamorous hotel offers lakeside views, spacious rooms and has a swanky spa which boasts health facilities and a 20m-long heated pool, thermal suite and Technogym.

The deal is currently available to book on Wowcher although it is subject to availability.

Want some extra pampering? You can upgrade to breaks from £139 which also includes afternoon tea, a two-course dinner and spa treatments.

If you're after a longer break, you can find two-night stays from £239.

The deal is valid on stays until the 31st March 2020, so it could be ideal timing if you've been thinking of treating your mum to a mini break for Mother's Day.

Meanwhile Bowness-on-Windermere offers plenty of charming pubs, scenic walks, and even fun attractions such as The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction , home to plenty of displays and fun activities based on the author's beloved works including Peter Rabbit.

Don't be disheartened if you can't quite make the deal work for you, or it doesn't work for the travel dates you had in mind.
